Solar Buying Guide for Pakistan

A practical checklist before you compare installer quotations.

01

Choose the system type

On-grid: lower storage cost but normally no backup during an outage. Hybrid: combines solar, grid and battery backup. Off-grid: designed for independence where grid supply is unavailable or unsuitable.

02

Size from actual energy use

Use monthly units or an appliance load list rather than choosing kW only from house size. Allow for seasonal AC use and future loads.

03

Plan backup separately

Battery capacity depends on the watts you want to keep running and the number of backup hours. Essential-load backup is usually more economical than whole-house backup.

04

Check the complete protection package

Ask for itemised DC/AC protection, earthing, surge protection, isolators, cable specifications, mounting structure and workmanship warranty.

05

Compare itemised quotations

Compare exact panel, inverter and battery models—not only the final total. Market pricing changes, so verify current dealer quotations.

06

Keep the design editable

Use the Pulse Hatch System Builder to change panel wattage, inverter, storage and installation allowances and see how the estimate moves.
